Volunteer Information

Our volunteers make Camp Dragonfly the success that it is! Each volunteer is carefully selected. These men and women are trained volunteers from every walk of life who have two things in common: they care about children and they understand grief. There is an excellent camper to staff ratio, often one volunteer for every two campers.

The professional staff and the advisory board of the Hospice of the Shenandoah direct the camp program including the staff training and development.

We need volunteers for the following areas:

• Cabin Buddy
• Arts & Crafts
• Kitchen Crew

Volunteers are required to attend volunteer orientation, and complete a health screen, criminal background check, and child protective services check.
