Financial Counseling in the Emergency Department

We recognize that medical bills are often unexpected and can be a strain. We offer a Financial Counselor within the Emergency Department during certain hours each day to assist you with your financial questions.

If you cannot pay your bill in full, we can help you determine a workable payment plan for your medical bills or we can help you apply for financial assistance. The Billing Office provides the best services and assistance possible to our patients.

The Financial Counselor Can Assist You With:

• Making payment for your care.
• Applying for financial aid for those who qualify.
• Pharmacy information and assistance for those who qualify.

How You Can Help Us:

• Provide us with complete insurance information upon registration, including insurance cards, driver's license or picture ID, and any changes to your personal or insurance information.
• Know your insurance benefits, requirements, and procedures.
• Be prepared to pay your co-payment at the time of service as required by your insurance company.

Respond promptly to requests from your insurance carrier. They may need a response from you to resolve issues related to your insurance coverage.
