Community Grants and Gifts
Organizations and schools in our community make miracles happen for thousands of people in our area every day: a child who struggles to read words on a printed page, a teenager who just learned she is pregnant, a person who relies on hospice care, and many others.
Agencies would probably find ways to continue serving local people in need without support from the Augusta Health Foundation, but it would divert their resources away from critical services. Funds from the Foundation allow dedicated professionals and volunteers to concentrate on doing their jobs instead of fundraising. Our mission is to support their missions. By awarding more than $1 million in gifts and grants, the Community Health Foundation has touched more than 90 schools and organizations since 2002.
Gift Awards
Gift awards are used to support small projects of less than $2,500. Grant awards are for projects of larger magnitude and require an application process.
Single Year Grants
The Augusta Health Foundation is committed to promoting the health and well-being of the residents in the greater Augusta County area. Single Year Grants are one way that the Augusta Health Foundation chooses to support local non-profit organizations in their quest for improving the quality of life for our citizens. Single Year Grant applications will be available on this website by February 1 of each year. The application will provide specific criteria for the annual award and the deadline for submission of Single Year Grant proposals is April 15 of each year.
