Festival of Trees
Please mark Friday, November 18, 2011 on your calendar, for the 4th annual Festival of Trees. This year, the event will be held at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton.
The Festival of Trees is a fundraising event for the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah. Proceeds from this event help support terminally ill patients at the Shenandoah House and their families, regardless of their ability to pay. The current economic environment has left many without insurance or means to pay for extra help when a loved one is ill. Hospice of the Shenandoah is an organization that offers terminally ill patients the opportunity to receive care in a home like setting, which is provided at the Shenandoah House. Money from our event helps to give the gift of care to those who cannot afford it. Funding comes from benefactors, grants, donations, and fundraisers for the operation of this needed service.
In addition to food and beverage, there will be both a silent and live auction of beautifully decorated seasonal trees as well as other exciting items. The trees offered at last year's event were outstanding, and bidding was lively. There will also be a silent auction of many other exciting items donated by various individuals and organizations.
The Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah Board of Directors would like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of this special event. You can participate by donating a decorated tree, special auction item, or financial contribution. Your name or your business will be listed in the program and on the Festival of Trees website www.augustahealthfestivaloftrees.com.
Thank you so much for supporting the Festival of Trees event for Hospice of the Shenandoah.
Sincerely,
The Festival of Trees Committee
