Mind/Body

Basic Yoga

The basic Yoga class incorporates flowing physical postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama), and deep relaxation, along with morsels of Yogic philosophy. Practitioners enjoy enhanced overall well-being, increased flexibility and strength, easefulness of the body, reduced stress and enhanced mental focus. Intermediate Yoga

Intermediate Integral Yoga will provide additional challenge for the experienced yoga practitioner by increasing the length and depth of basic yoga poses while introducing more challenging intermediate poses. This class offers all the benefits of the basic class while providing a robust overall fitness experience. Please upgrade to total plus or universal membership to enjoy this class.

Flow/Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga is a powerful and meaningful way to improve strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness, while cultivating awareness and deep inner peace. This style links yoga postures in a flowing sequence with a strong focus on breath, resulting in a purifying meditation of movement. This class is challenging yet deeply profound in the after-affects. Variations will be provided for students of all levels and abilities.

Chi Kung

Chinese Health Exercise. Movements from the five-element form are performed slowly and are very easy on the joints of the body. Chi is the energy state of living things. Kung is any training or study with Chi that takes time and effort. We are offering beginning, intermediate and advanced classes at this time. Included in the total plus and universal memberships. Tai Chi

Balanced walking techniques and slow movements with controlled stances. Tai Chi offers gentle warm-ups and stretches and is great for those recovering from illnesses or injuries. Free to total plus and universal memberships. Please upgrade to appropriate membership to enjoy this class. We offer beginning and advanced tai chi as well as specialty classes for cancer, diabetes and arthritis.

Martial Arts

Okinawan Karate, a defensive art steeped in tradition, discipline, history and culture of the fourteenth century. Students will learn from Grandmatster, Dr. Tom Muncy, the discipline forms that will help develop coordination, internal discipline, physical stamina, mental alertness, increased awareness, and confidence in their ability to defend themselves. Beginner and Intermediate classes available! Cost is $55 per month for members & $90 per month for nonmembers. Please register & pay at the Front Desk.

Medical Programs

We offer a variety of medical programs. The cancer recovery classes are sponsored by the Augusta Health Cancer Center and are open to all cancer recovery patients to attend- free to both member and non-member (non-member will need to fill out paper work for the first class from membership).

Core Strength

Pilates

Core strengthening exercise that allows you to stabilize before you mobilize. The components include a series of exercise based on Joseph Pilates techniques. It will offer you controlled breathing with strength and flexibility. Beginner-Intermediate & Advanced classes will be offered. Free to total, total plus and universal memberships. No registration required

Functional

Chair Exercise

A class designed to help with range of motion, flexibility, and strength while in contact with a chair. Come enjoy a great exercise program! Length-45 minutes
