Crossroads Behavioral Health Services is an acute inpatient psychiatric stabilization program. We view mental illness like any other illness—as a medical condition. We focus on medication management, education, coping skills and preparing for outpatient treatment.
We provide quality care for each patient through intensive, short-term hospitalization. Our psychiatrists and team of health professionals work together as an interdisciplinary team to meet the individual needs of the whole person: physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual. Our services are unique in that we offer our community both an Adult and Geriatric inpatient psychiatric program specifically designed to meet the needs of our patients.
When one person in the family suffers from a mental or emotional illness, everyone else in the family is affected. Admission to a psychiatric treatment center can be traumatic, and can be especially so for an elderly person. We understand this and encourage family members to express their feelings and learn new ways to cope with the frustrations.
If you or your loved one is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below or would like to learn more about our services, please call our 24 hour helpline at (540) 332-4060.

Discharge Planning at Crossroads
All therapies are designed to quickly return patients to their optimal level of functioning so they can safely return home or to an appropriate therapeutic facility and resume their lives as soon as possible. Our discharge planners and case managers also help plan and coordinate care following hospitalization.
Comprehensive Treatment Plans at Crossroads
A thorough physical and mental evaluation is completed to determine the cause or causes of the psychiatric illness. Based on the results of the evaluation, we develop a comprehensive treatment plan. The individualized treatment plan focuses on behavioral health needs, which are addressed by individual and/or group therapy sessions. In addition, our clinical team works with each patient to determine an appropriate level of medication needed in order to effectively treat his or her mental health disorder.
