Thinking of a health career? Try volunteering!

Teen Volunteers at Augusta Health are students who have finished the ninth grade, are at least 14½ years old, and demonstrate a serious interest in gaining work experience in a health care setting. Students are selected for positions based on their maturity, potential to accept responsibility, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

Teen Volunteers are required to attend orientation and volunteer at least 20 hours per week for a six week period during the summer. Students are assigned duties based on current hospital needs.

Application Process

Applications are available the beginning of March and due by the end of April. They may be picked up from your high school guidance counselor or the Augusta Health Volunteer Services Office. Each applicant will receive a call from the Volunteer office to schedule an interview.
