Thinking of a health career?
Teen Volunteers at Augusta Health are students who have finished the ninth grade, are at least 14 ½ years old, and who demonstrate a serious interest in gaining work experience in a health care setting. Teen Volunteers are selected for positions based on their maturity, potential to accept responsibility, and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Our summer program consists of a six-week session, including orientation.
Teen Volunteers are required to attend the orientation and volunteer at least 20 hours per week for a six week period during the summer. The Director of Volunteer Services will assign students their duties based on current hospital need.
Application and Interview Process
Obtain the application materials from your high school guidance counselor or the Augusta Health Volunteer Services Office by the end of April each year.
