A Pediatric Hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the care of hospitalized children. The Pediatric Hospitalist is located in the hospital and serves as the physician overseeing your child's hospitalization. They care for children in many hospital areas
including the pediatric floor, labor and delivery, newborn nursery, and the emergency department.
What type of training do Pediatric Hospitalists have?
Pediatric Hospitalists are medical doctors who have:
- Four years of medical school
- Three years of pediatric residency training
- Board Certification in Pediatrics
