The role of the Patient Advisory Group is to advise and assist the Augusta Health Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders, and to ensure the well-being of the patient is at the of center all decisions. The group consists of current and former cancer patients and cancer patients' family members. This inclusive and participatory approach helps the Cancer Program staff to offer the best continuum of care.
Goals of the Patient Advisory Group
- Strengthen communication and collaboration among patients, families, and staff to meet the needs of the patients through quality and compassionate care.
- Provide input on programs, services, and events to ensure continual improvements are made to best serve the community.
- Allow patients, families, and staff the opportunity to give feedback to enhance the patient care continuum of comprehensive clinical and support services.
