Community Benefit Program
Defining our Community's Health Needs
As part of Augusta Health's commitment to the community, we coordinate—with the collaboration and input of many organizations and agencies across all sectors of our community—a regular and comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Our first CHNA was in 2009 and the next in 2013. The current assessment was completed in 2016.
As part of the research process, a community Prioritization Session was held on June 16, 2016, that included preliminary results of the greatest areas of opportunity to improve the health status of the Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro community. Key community partners prioritized the needs from their perspectives. Organizations thoughout the community use the research for planning, grants, and program development.
