Understanding Hospice Volunteering

The last good thing that may happen in a person's life is a hospice volunteer.

Hospice is a team care model that provides quality, compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury. Vital members of our team are our volunteers. Volunteers share their talents to enrich the lives of our patients and their families. Volunteers are needed to provide a range of services to patients of the Hospice of the Shenandoah.

Other opportunities include:

  • Veteran Volunteer
  • Massage Therapy
  • Pet Visit
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Hairdresser
  • Meal Prep
  • 11th Hour Volunteer
  • Respite Visits
  • Musical Support

You can learn more about these volunteer opportunities during our Open House or introduce yourself and/or your talent that would enrich our program.
