Augusta Health is continuing to work with the Virginia Department of Health and the Central Shenandoah Health District (CSHD) to support their phased vaccination approach.

We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to ensure everyone who desires a COVID-19 vaccine will have access to one. Our current community vaccine clinic is operating through Friday, January 22. We are opening additional clinic operations on a daily basis, as we work through the evolving eligibility criteria.
Appointment links to specific clinics are shared in communications inviting those eligible participants to register. These links connect to a scheduling system designed and implemented by the state, as it allows for capture of information that is then shared through state required reporting system. This system went live last week and is being adopted in health systems providing vaccination clinics throughout the state. Each designated clinic is operating on varied schedules to align with the unique needs of their respective health district populations.

Successfully scheduled appointments will be verified for eligibility prior to the appointment. Additionally, you will be asked to show legal identification of age and residence (in the Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County area) for proof of eligibility status verification at the time of the appointment. Please be sure that you meet the eligibility requirements prior to scheduling an appointment through this system. Should your eligibility status fall outside of the current requirements – those aged 75 and older at this time and residing in Staunton, Augusta County or Waynesboro – your appointment will be cancelled and you will be asked to return at a later time when accommodations are extended to meet your eligibility status.

We must manage clinical resources and rolling supply of vaccine to ensure those individuals in our community who need it most are able to receive the vaccine.

Again, we appreciate your patience as we work diligently to ensure everyone who desires a COVID-19 vaccine will have access to one at their appointed time based on established eligibility criteria. We stand by our mission to promote the health and well-being of our community through access to excellent care. We firmly believe COVID-19 vaccines are the key to promoting our community's health in a dangerous time.
