Since January, Augusta Health has worked in partnership with the Central Shenandoah Health District (CSHD) to vaccinate community members. It’s been a massive effort, and one that requires precise and considerable planning, resulting in more than 30,000 seniors and essential workers having received at least one dose of vaccine by the end of the first week of March. While most in the community are able to attend the Community Clinics on the Augusta Health campus, a percentage of the community is not. The Central Shenandoah Health District in partnership with the Virginia Department of Health will be upgrading their COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration system to provide a more unified and comprehensive process for Virginians. The new system will replace the previous CSHD REDCap survey link for local pre-registration systems beginning February 16.
