More than 62,000 patients were treated in Augusta Health's Emergency Department last year. That's nearly 170 per day... about one new patient every eight minutes!
Based on the tremendous increase in patient volumes, the lack of space for lifesaving equipment and technology, and the less-then-optimal treatment space in corridors and hallways, the Augusta Health ED must be expanded and renovated to provide the best possible care for the community. Upgrades are critical because—every moment matters.
The Augusta Health Foundation has announced the launch of a $2 million campaign to support the $22 million Emergency Department project.
As I was climbing this hill, this last hill of our ride, I started having this sudden onset of the worst headache of my life, and I’m a guy that never has headaches.— Eric Laser MD, Anesthesiologist
