Mason's Toy Box Brings Presents to Children at Augusta Health

Friday, December 23, 2016

Jason Pugh, a volunteer with Mason's Toy Box delivered toys to the children in the Pediatric unit at Augusta Health today. From doll babies to wagons, they hit the mark on the favorite toys of the season! There were even enough toys to share with the Emergency Department for children that will be in the ED over the holidays. The folks behind the annual Mason's Toy Box toy drive remember the many holidays Mason Clark Thomas and his mother spent in the hospital while he battled stage IV neuroblastoma. Each year, they collect unwrapped toys and gifts for other children spending the holidays in the hospital — and care packages and gift certificates for their parents. After Mason's battle ended in June 2011, Mason's Toy Box started working to make sure other children who'd be stuck in hospitals during holidays had more to celebrate.
