Why did you choose your specialty area?

I have always enjoyed working with adolescents and hearing their perspectives on various topics, and that phase of life is such a time of challenge and growth in so many areas (relational, academic, social, identity, etc.). I have received the Training for Adoption Competency, to be able to focus on clinical issues relevant to clients and/or families (birth and adoptive) involved with the adoption process. I also have become more interested in women's issues as I've observed and learned how these impact not only my own life, but those of other women around me in different ways.
How do you spend your spare time?

I like to spend time outdoors with my family, and I enjoy reading fiction when I have time.
