It's the little things that make a difference.
Pam Vandevander is one of the occupational therapists who recently became certified in treating patients with lymphedema. There was such a need for this service in our community that Pam has been kept very busy helping patients with this condition. Pam's involvement even extends to purchasing fabric and personally sewing sleeve-assistive devices used by her patients so that they can more easily apply their compression garments. The design of the sleeve is fairly simple, but the benefit to patients is significant. The care demonstrated by Pam in assembling these sleeves is another example of the phenomenal level of attention Augusta Health gives to our patients.
