It's the little things that make a difference.
During the recent snowstorms hospice had a patient that was in trouble, who lived up a gravel road in the Sherando area. After exploring other options transportation was called. Scott Masincup happened to be there in his own truck with his 2 boys riding along. He had come in simply to check on how people were doing due to the storms. He very cheerfully drove Carol Showalter, RN out to the patient's home and stayed in the truck with his sons, while Carol went in and took care of the patient. The patient was in pain and Carol was relieved to be able to care for him. As well Carol enjoyed getting to know Scott better, and says that she has a new appreciation for how this place keeps moving in all kinds of weather.
