Augusta Health to Host Community Career Fair in Waynesboro on October 22 Careers & Connections event will offer job opportunities, same-day interviews, and career resources

FISHERSVILLE, VIRGINIA — Augusta Health invites everyone —from experienced professionals and career changers to students and those simply exploring what’s next —to discover career opportunities at Careers & Connections: More Than a Job Fair. The event takes place Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Best Western Plus, 109 Apple Tree Lane, Waynesboro.

Hosted by Augusta Health, the event will connect candidates with hiring managers and recruiters for current openings in nursing, patient access, environmental services (EVS), and other areas. Candidates may interview at the event or schedule an interview for a later date.

The event is open to anyone exploring a new career, considering the next step in health care, or helping a friend or family member find employment. Attendees do not need to be current Augusta Health employees to participate.

“We want people to see the possibilities available to them, learn about different career paths, and build connections that can help them take their next step,” said Richard Covington, Administrative Director of Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, and Workforce Development at Augusta Health. “A career is about more than a job. It’s also about opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference.”

Along with meeting hiring managers, attendees can get resume reviews, career guidance, and resources to explore careers in health care. Local colleges, workforce development organizations, and other community partners will also be on site with information and resources. CL Photoz will offer free, professional LinkedIn-ready headshots from 1 to 5 p.m. Refreshments and giveaways will be available throughout the event.
