What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Hobbies include art, music festivals, traveling, and organizing my rock collection. On the weekends I can usually be found in a local river with my dog Luna who enjoys a good creekstomp as much as I do!

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Scotland was my favorite country to visit, but Cancun was my favorite "vacation" destination!

What is a fun fact about yourself?
When traveling I use the water from the location to watercolor a picture as a souvenir! It's amazing to see how the chemical makeup of the water changes the way the picture looks.

What are your clinical areas of interest?
Preparation for labor techniques, spinning babies, patient-led Pap smears and exams, gynecological and antepartum care. Well-Woman Exams, Person-led Pap and GYN exams and screening,

Why do you practice medicine?
My mission is to care for individuals as a midwife with evidence based practice while advocating, supporting and providing safe, person centered care. I've wanted to be a midwife since I was 5 years old, and have been attending births in some capacity since I was 18 years old! I became a doula and childbirth educator in 2008, and worked in Lancaster, PA as a midwives assistant in the Amish community.
