Bio:
Originally from Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Hossny earned his medical degree from Alexandria University. He completed a one-year Clinical Research Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Mn where he remains actively involved in ongoing research and publications. He brings robust U.S. clinical experience and a strong commitment to hospital medicine and patient-centered care. In addition to his research, Dr. Hossny volunteered as a Compassionate Companion at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, providing emotional support to patients and their families. Outside of medicine, he is a former professional taekwondo athlete with multiple national and international medals, a certified scuba diver, and a proud husband and father. A lifelong Barcelona fan, he draws daily inspiration from Lionel Messi’s discipline, humility, and dedication.

    Certified scuba diver, exploring different cuisines, playing strategy games and FIFA on PS5, and cheering for FC Barcelona.

  • What is a fun fact about yourself?

    I’ve never missed watching an FC Barcelona game since 2006 — through medical school, residency, and even night shifts, I always find a way to tune in.
