Knee replacement patients: 

If you have not already completed – please contact the outpatient therapy clinic of your choice to schedule your first physical therapy appointment.

• Your first therapy appointment should be scheduled for 48–72 hours after your surgery.
• Scheduling your appointment as soon as possible after this class helps ensure you can see your preferred therapist at a convenient date and time.
• Your official physical therapy referral will be provided to you at the time of hospital discharge.
• If your chosen therapy clinic requires a referral before they will schedule your appointment, please contact the Orthopedic Clinic at 540.332.5850 for assistance.
• If you choose Augusta Health Outpatient Therapy, call 540-932-5935 to schedule your appointments. Our therapists specialize in joint replacement rehabilitation and work in close collaboration with your orthopedic surgeon and care team, helping provide coordinated, seamless care throughout your recovery.

Hip replacement patients:

Your surgeon will discuss your therapy needs at your two-week post op appointment.
