Bomb Threat Investigation Underway at Augusta Health

UPDATE: ALL CLEAR AT 4:07 P.M.

FISHERSVILLE, VIRGINIA—Augusta Health is currently addressing a bomb threat reported at the main hospital. The safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors are our top priorities.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, our facility received a bomb threat by phone. Immediately upon receiving the threat, we activated our emergency response procedures and notified local law enforcement authorities. Emergency Department services continue to be available, but non-emergent services are temporarily restricted.

Law Enforcement is on-site and has initiated a thorough investigation. We are working closely with the authorities to ensure a swift and safe resolution.
