30th Anniversary Gala – click for tickets

2023 Twilight in Tuscany

In 2023, the Annual Signature Event was a great success raising over $130,000, made possible by our sponsors and donors. Our live and silent auction participants helped round out the support. Our new fund-a-need live bidding helped raise funds to improve well-being through the purchase of Hercules Repositioners. (see video here.) We were honored by the generosity and enthusiasm expressed for our clinical teams.

2022 Gala To-Go

Back by popular demand, we hosted a second Augusta Health Foundation “Gala To-Go!” Over $98,000 was raised for the Nursing Excellence Fund and the Outpatient Pavilion Gardens. Thank you!

Casino Night

Digital breast tomosynthesis, also known as 3D mammography, is the most advanced technology available, as it provides the radiologist with a three-dimensional image where abnormalities, calcifications and dense breast tissue can be found and treated. Currently, Augusta Health has only one “tomo” unit located in the Women’s Imaging Center on the main campus, and one at the Urgent Care facility in Stuarts Draft. Augusta Health is committed to investing in additional 3-D mammography technology to help women in our area find breast cancer in its earliest stages; the Augusta Health Foundation needs your help to raise $250,000 towards this critically important effort.

Proceeds from Augusta Health’s Casino Night event will help to provide funding of this new technology and help women in the fight against breast cancer! Casino Night was held on October 11, 2019.

25th Anniversary Celebration Gala

More than 230 individuals, business partners and vendors, community leaders, and volunteers attended Augusta Health’s 25th Anniversary Celebration Gala on Friday evening, April 26, 2019 at Veritas Vineyard and Winery in Afton, VA. The Gala not only celebrated Augusta Health’s 25 years of care to the Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro communities, (and surrounding areas), but also raised $100,000 for new 3D technology that detects breast cancer in its earliest stages. Special thanks to our many sponsors!

Cake Frost Employee Giving Event

In 2019, the Foundation launched a new event to engage Augusta Health employees in “giving back.” More than 18 teams from 16 Augusta Health departments from across the health system had 30 minutes to cut, stack and decorate a sheet cake. With a pledge form as a vote, employees voted for their favorite cake display. The Foundation will use these generous gifts to enhance care in an area of the hospital selected by the employee donor, such as the Employee Emergency Fund, Hospice, or Patient Care. More than $26,000 was raised at this first-time event!

President’s Reception

Every December, donors and friends of the Foundation are invited to gather at CEO Mary Mannix’s home to be thanked for their support, and celebrate the difference they have helped to make possible for patients and employees at Augusta Health.

Retired Nurses & Physicians Luncheon

Augusta Health Foundation hosted a special luncheon honoring retired nurses and physicians. In addition to a meal with all of the trimmings, a special presentation was provided on new or expanded services offered by Augusta Health. Topics have included: Thoracic surgery, cardiac catheterization, joint replacement program for elective knees and hips, and advances in nursing.
