Concurrently, second doses are being administered in a separate clinic to Augusta Health employees who received first doses at the end of December. By end of day January 27, a grand total of 8,598 vaccinations had been administered by Augusta Health since the start of vaccinations in December, with a new daily record of 778 community members receiving initial vaccinations on Wednesday. In partnership with the Central Shenandoah Health District (CSHD), Augusta Health continues community vaccinations for COVID-19. By end of day January 22, a total of 6,412 vaccinations had been administered by Augusta Health, with a new daily record of 531 community members receiving initial vaccinations on Friday. In partnership with the Central Shenandoah Health District (CSHD), Augusta Health continues community vaccinations for COVID-19. At the end of the day on January 20, 5,366 vaccinations have been administered by Augusta Health, including 473 to community members on Wednesday. Phase 1B includes a large number of people, so CSHD, Augusta Health, and all partners are using a strategic approach to vaccinate as many in the community as possible in an efficient manner.
