Bio:
Dr. Shakeel's academic interests include non-opioid pain management, referral system optimization, and cardiovascular risk prevention. Dr. Shakeel has delivered numerous clinical presentations, contributed to national conferences, and participated in curriculum development through UVA's Clinical Educator Track. Her research has explored topics ranging from COVID-19–associated thrombosis to vascular surgery in connective tissue disorders. Passionate about patient safety, mentorship, and equitable care, she remains actively involved in medical education and community outreach.
