Why did you choose your specialty area?
The decision to choose a surgical specialty was based solely on my preference of a challenging and difficult field that requires precision, anatomical understanding and rapid decision making. Specifically, general surgery, gives me the opportunity to evaluate and care for patients in a variety of settings including office based care, the ER, inpatient hospital care, and most importantly the operating room.

How do you spend your spare time?
My spare time is limited due to the nature of my commitment to my profession. I find myself spending the remainder of this time with my family including my wife, daughter and our German Shepherd, Milo. As a family we enjoy international travel, visiting the ocean, and hiking. I also enjoy running.
