Why did you choose your specialty area?
I love a lot of aspects of medicine, but the excitement and immediacy of treating people with heart attacks is my primary interest. There is an incredible feeling to be able to potentially save someone's life and help them recover to a normal level of activity. Even though not everyone does well after a heart attack, there is an immediate bond with the patient and their families that is truly inspiring.

How do you spend your spare time?
I love to golf, travel, read, and visit wineries and breweries. Sarah and I have two dogs (including a puppy) that are rally a joy. I have two sons that I enjoy visiting as often as I can.
