Breast Imaging

A radiologist, who is a physician experienced in MRI and other radiology examinations, will analyze the images and send a report of the diagnosis to your physician. Your physician will discuss the results with you and explain what they mean in relation to your health.

Billing and Payment

You will receive two bills for your exam:

• A bill from the hospital for the Imaging procedure
• A bill from the radiologist for interpreting your scan

Augusta Health Breast Imaging

The main Breast Imaging location is in the Breast Center at the new Outpatient Pavilion, 23 North Campus Drive, Suite 103. Call 833-AHC-HLTH to schedule an appointment.

There are two satellite imaging locations available in the community.

Staunton – Augusta Health Outpatient Center

We offer Screening Mammograms (Digital Mammography), and Bone Density Studies (Dexa Scans). Our mammography unit is also capable of 3D breast imaging (3D Tomosynthesis).
