Augusta Health Announces Promotion of Vickie Taylor to Chief Nursing Officer

FISHERSVILLE, VIRGINIA— Augusta Health is excited to announce the promotion of Vickie Taylor, DNP, MS, NE-BC, to Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), effective January 20, 2025. With over 30 years of service at Augusta Health, including 25 years in progressively responsible nursing leadership roles, Taylor has shown an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for enhancing patient care.
Taylor has promoted collaboration, innovation, and quality throughout her career. Her commitment to patient-centered care has earned her the respect of colleagues. In 2017, she received the Nurse Innovator Award for Leadership, recognizing her ability to drive positive changes in nursing. Taylor’s vision and focus on results have advanced nursing practices and patient outcomes. In her previous role as Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO), she has significantly impacted Augusta Health, demonstrating her ability to lead and inspire at the highest levels.
Taylor’s educational background highlights her expertise and leadership skills. She has earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a bachelor’s and an associate degree in nursing. These qualifications and her vast experience make her well-suited to guide the organization toward a new phase of nursing excellence. “Vickie’s promotion to Chief Nursing Officer is a natural progression in recognition of her years of leadership, dedication to patient care, and commitment to advancing our nursing practice,” said Crystal Farmer, MBA, MSN, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer of Augusta Health. “She has played a crucial role in shaping our nursing culture, and I am confident she will continue to inspire and lead us toward even greater achievements.”
