Speech Therapy Session With Professional Instructor and Engaged Learning Interaction

What You’ll Do:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Augusta Health, you’ll work with patients across all ages and stages of life to assess and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You’ll design personalized therapy plans that support each patient’s goals—whether improving speech clarity, enhancing comprehension, or strengthening swallowing function for safety and quality of life.

You’ll collaborate with a team of nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure integrated care. One day you might be helping a patient relearn to speak after a neurological event, and the next, guiding families through strategies that support communication progress at home. Every session offers the chance to empower connection and confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP): Current Virginia license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (CF): Eligible for Virginia licensure and supervision by a certified SLP
  • All positions: Current BLS certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered, compassionate approach
