One Community. One Future.

Augusta Health is one of only five independent, community-owned health systems remaining in the Commonwealth. Unlike other hospitals that are part of larger systems and beholden to decisions and priorities made in distant corporate headquarters, Augusta Health is independent and governed by local residents who live and work in this community. The health system makes decisions based exclusively on what will benefit the health of this local community. Augusta Health Foundation seeks to secure philanthropic support to strengthen the health system's continued ability to meet this community's needs.

"All of us have been or will be touched by Augusta Health – family, neighbors, friends. This hospital is an important part of our community. Many communities don't have what we have. When I think about the future and what's happened to other hospitals, healthcare seems so uncertain these days. I just want to make sure Augusta Health is still here for the community – and owned by the community – for years to come."
