Bio:
Dr. Meghan Gaare is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry, with extensive experience in telemedicine, academic medicine, and the treatment of eating disorders. Currently based in Charlottesville, VA, Dr. Gaare has held clinical and leadership roles across the Veterans Affairs system and academic institutions including the University of Virginia and Johns Hopkins University.

Her professional experience includes serving as a Telemedicine Psychiatrist for the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and the Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, as well as clinical roles within the UVA Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences. In 2024, she joined the Office of Inspector General at the Veterans Affairs as a Medical Officer.

Dr. Gaare is an active researcher and presenter, with published work on vitamin D deficiency in psychiatric populations and high-resolution fMRI studies on memory and novelty encoding. She has presented at national conferences including the Radiological Society of North America and the Society for Neuroscience.
