Augusta Health Radiation Oncology provides advanced, patient-centered cancer care using state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. Our department is equipped with two Elekta linear accelerators, allowing for precise and highly customized radiation treatments across a wide range of disease sites.
Our experienced team works closely with medical oncology, surgical oncology, nursing, physics, and support services to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care for every patient. We treat many types of cancer, including breast, prostate, lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and hematologic malignancies, among others.

In addition to cancer treatment, Augusta Health offers Low Dose Radiation Therapy (LDRT) for osteoarthritis, providing an evidence-based, non-invasive option for pain relief in select patients. We are also proud to provide specialized treatment for ocular melanoma, including eye plaque therapy, offering patients access to highly specialized care close to home.

Eye Plaque Brachytherapy Program
As part of its comprehensive offerings, the Augusta Health Eye Plaque Brachytherapy Program provides highly specialized, customized radiation treatment for uveal melanoma and other ocular malignancies. This treatment option uses surgically placed gold plaques designed for each patient’s tumor location and geometry. The Augusta Health program reflects a close collaboration between ophthalmic oncology, radiation oncology, medical physics, and surgery, allowing patients to receive precise, eye-sparing treatment through coordinated multidisciplinary care.
