Lara Young, PT, Cert. DN, SCCE
Lara Young is a physical therapist with Augusta Health Outpatient Physical Therapy who has a clinical interest in general orthopedic conditions. Lara brings extensive experience in outpatient care and joint management. She has managed Augusta Health’s brace clinic for more than 20 years, helping patients find appropriate bracing solutions, including knee braces, to support mobility and improve function. Lara is also a Certified Dry Needling practitioner and incorporates advanced techniques to support patient recovery.
In addition to her clinical work, Lara serves as the clinical manager for physical therapy student placements and education within the department. She collaborates with Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences to provide educational in-services and support for physical therapy students and faculty on rehabilitation interventions.
Lara shares, “I practice Physical Therapy to provide help to those in pain, recovering from a surgical intervention, or managing a disease process. My passion is to serve others in need and to be part of their healing process.”
Outside of work, Lara enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and spending time with her three dogs. Her favorite travel destination is Italy.
