Volunteer Opportunities: Farm at Augusta Health
Volunteer with Us at the Farm!
Join our team of dedicated regular volunteers and make a hands-on impact in our vibrant farm community! As a regular volunteer, you’ll be involved in a variety of essential tasks that keep our farm thriving. These include:
- Weeding garden beds to promote healthy plant growth
- Planting seasonal crops
- Harvesting fruits, vegetables, and herbs for community use
- General upkeep of garden areas, compost stations, and pathways
What to Wear:
Volunteering on the farm can be messy and active! Please come prepared with:
- Closed-toe shoes (preferably work boots or sneakers you don’t mind getting dirty)
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting soiled
- A hat and sunscreen for sun protection
- Gloves (if you have a favorite pair—otherwise, we can provide some)
Scheduling:
Regular volunteer hours typically take place from 8 am – 3 pm, Monday -Friday. Outside of these hours is available with further training. We ask that regular volunteers commit to at least one shift per week for a minimum of one month, to help ensure consistency.
Seasonality:
While we grow all year long, our busiest season is from mid-March to mid- November. There are opportunities too throughout the winter with inventory, organizing, or working with our Food Pantry!
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, we welcome all helping hands. Come grow with us—literally and figuratively!
