We’re Simplifying How You Contact Augusta Health

Augusta Health is transitioning to a single set of phone numbers across the organization.

For many years, we maintained multiple phone numbers for some services and locations, including Waynesboro-based and Staunton-based numbers. This approach originally helped callers avoid long-distance charges. Today, with the widespread use of mobile phones and unlimited calling plans, separate phone exchanges are no longer necessary.

As part of this transition, Augusta Health is retiring Waynesboro-based phone numbers and standardizing a single set of Staunton-based numbers.

What Does This Mean for Me?

If you have an Augusta Health phone number saved in your contacts, written down, or listed in printed materials, please verify that you are using the current number.

For example:

Old: 540-932-4000
New: 540-332-4000

As additional phone numbers are updated, revised contact information will be shared through Augusta Health communication channels and reflected throughout our website.

Why Are We Making This Change?

This update will:

  • Simplify how patients and community members contact Augusta Health.
  • Reduce confusion caused by multiple phone numbers for the same service.
  • Create a more consistent experience across our organization.
  • Improve the accuracy and maintenance of contact information across websites, directories, and printed materials.

Will Calls to Old Numbers Still Work?

During the transition period, calls to affected phone numbers will continue to be forwarded to help ensure patients can reach the services they need. However, we encourage everyone to begin using updated phone numbers as they become available.
