Open for nearly 10 years, the Appearances Boutique has served the community by providing one free wig to women experiencing hair loss from chemotherapy. In 2016, bras and prosthetics [breast forms] were added to serve mastectomy patients.
Personalized programs to maintain quality of life during treatment and to help patients thrive in recovery.
We offer a safe space for people affected by cancer to share their experiences and emotions with other people who have cancer.
Food FARMacy is a 16-week program in which participants with chronic diseases receive nutrition education, healthy food demo samples, nutritious recipes, and farm-fresh seasonal vegetables.
To date, 12 cohorts have been completed, and over 140 patients have been served. Additionally, over 21,000 pounds of produce has been distributed through this program.
The Augusta Health Food Pantry was established in April of 2021, and focuses on equitable access to nutritious food for patients that have screened positive for food insecurity.
