Financial Assistance Programs
Our Financial Assistance Program can be used towards services normally covered by insurance. That could include:
- Hospital care
- Home health care
- Durable medical equipment
- Hospice care
- Visits to physician offices associated with Augusta Health
This policy does not cover:
- Convenience items
- Drugs from the pharmacy
- Visits to physician offices not associated with Augusta Health
Eligibility for financial assistance is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Depending on the income and number of family members, patients can receive either 100% or 60% fee reduction.
|Family Income Relative to Federal Poverty Guidelines||Reduction of Fees|
|0 – 200% of Federal Guidelines||100%|
|201 – 400% of Federal Guidelines||60%|
|201 – 400% of Federal Guidelines||Not eligible|
Uninsured patients who do not meet these income requirements will receive a 50% discount on total charges for medically necessary and emergency care they receive.
As a condition of eligibility, you must first apply for some other form of assistance, for example Medicare, Medicaid, SLH, medical insurance, or auto insurance.
