The Augusta Health Inpatient Therapy team provides comprehensive physical, occupational, speech-language, and recreational therapy services to patients throughout the hospital. Our therapists work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team to promote recovery, maximize independence, and support a safe transition to the next level of care.

  • Acute Care: Early rehabilitation following illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization.
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF): Intensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation for patients recovering from complex medical conditions, neurologic disorders, or major injuries.
  • Skilled Nursing Unit: Rehabilitation focused on restoring function and preparing patients for a safe return home or to their community.

Our therapists provide individualized, evidence-based treatment designed to help patients improve mobility, self-care, communication, swallowing, cognition, and overall functional independence.
